Born and raised in Tacoma, Ben cut his teeth on local politics at a young age. He now lives in Downtown Seattle, where he works as a widely-published political analyst and consultant.Ben graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Politics & Government and joined the PSNW team in March 2014.
Kess (pronounced "Case") was born in Washington, but at the age of two traveled with his parents on a small sail boat to the Caribbean and spent the next eight years sailing around the islands. The experience shaped his life by seeing some of the poorest as well as the wealthiest nations in the world while growing up. Kess holds a degree in Political Science from Western Washington University.
Nic Van Putten
Nic grew up on Vashon Island and in Lakewood. Nic’s political experience began with grassroots organizing for environmental and civil rights groups. In 2008, he traveled to Northern Alaska and inner-city Indianapolis as staff for Barack Obama’s campaign. Nic received his bachelor’s degree in Politics & Government from the University of Puget Sound.
